About C PONIES
Carmen Herrmann Hanson, a former horse trainer and riding instructor who was forced to retire following a non-horse related injury in 2012, launched C Ponies.
Even before starting C Ponies, Hanson was no stranger to horseback swimming; she frequently employed the exercise to keep her horses cool and in condition during the hot summer months.
Today, the vast majority of C Ponies’ horses have been saved (95%!) and rehabilitated from horrific situations, and they live much happier and healthier lives as a result of Carmen’s efforts.
Although C Ponies provides six distinct tours, the Platinum Excursion is by far the most well-liked one. All passengers 10 and older will enjoy the 1.5-hour trip.
Your knowledgeable guide will tell you everything there is to know about the local marine life and the horses your group is riding before you and your horse go out into the water after a brief instruction.
The cost of this event is $140 per person.
EXCURSIONS PROVIDED BY C PONIES
Alafia River State Park Trail Ride, Deer Prairie Creek Preserve Trail Ride, Little Manatee River State Park, Sunset Platinum Excursion, and St. Petersburg Beach Excursion are other excursions provided by C Ponies.
The fee per person for rides ranges from $125 to $150 and the length is between one and two hours.
Any day of the week, as early as 9:30 a.m., or as late as 6 p.m., you may arrange rides.
