LOS CHILUDOS FRESH MEXICAN GRILL BEGINNINGS & HISTORY

Tera and Jose started selling handmade salsas at farmer’s markets throughout town. In 2008, they founded Los Chiludos in a modest, unassuming structure in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Two years later, they grew and relocated to a larger building in a nearby business park. They became the number one Mexican restaurant in Washington County, PA, and were frequently ranked in the top three in Pittsburgh, PA.

THE LEMUS FAMILY

Jose was born in Mexico City, Mexico, and migrated to Orange County, California when he was 15 years old. He’s been in the restaurant business since he was 17 years old, and he fell in love with the kitchen while preparing to be a restaurant manager.

He combines classic Mexican tastes with a lighter, healthier Southern California spin. With his wife and two boys, he hopes to one day expand numerous outlets.

Lunch

My friend and I were anxious for this restaurant to open in our area, so we visited it the day after it’s opening here at Holmes Beach. I ordered a chicken burrito, we decided to try the guacamole, salsa with mango and chips as well.
My girlfriend had the shrimp tacos.
The burrito was full of chicken and refried beans. It had a very good flavor, that wasn’t too spicy, but was flavorful. The chips could have used a little salt in them, but were good, the guacamole was very good, with chunks of avocado in it, which I love. The salsa with mangos was very good, but in my opinion (from someone who thinks cilantro tastes like dishwater), I thought it had too much cilantro. Vicki also seemed to enjoy her shrimp tacos. All in all..a BIG thumbs up!! Can’t wait to go there again!
